Details regarding Last.fm’s intergration with Xbox Live have finally been released.
In an interview with Joystiq Xbox Live Christina DeRosa, general manager had this to say:
“Silver users will be able access what we’re considering a trial period of three hours a month, which comes with video advertising. Gold users will have unlimited ad-supported access, so they can use it 24 hours a day. There will also be a premium offering on a subscription basis from Last.fm, that will be commercial free and will also have more sophisticated personalization features, like Loved Tracks.”
Video advertising? Or you can shell out $3 a month for Last.fm’s premium service. We’ll just have to wait and see what these ads will look like.

This sounds like a really cool service.
I will download this.
Last.fm has never appealed to me, it’s system always linked me to things I didn’t want to listen to and put me off.
I’ll consider checking it out, as a gold member free is fine.
